So I'm almost 12,000 miles into my Mazda3 ownership. Outside of a couple small scratches and temporarily losing my key in the seat bracketry I haven't had any issues. I was able to put in my Christmas presents yesterday: all weather mats, cargo mat, and storage shelf.
Quick pro/con list
Pro:
Lots of fun. Haven't really pushed it in any real sense but I haven't been disappointed.
Great mileage. Averaging around 35.5 mpg over the life of the car. I've found the EPA estimates to be pretty spot on with normal driving.
Looks great. I get compliments when I talk to people about it.
Great brakes. Best brakes out of any car I've ever owned.
Fits my dogs better than previous cars.
Cons:
Limited storage. Smallish glove box. Small center console. No door pockets, just "sports drink" pockets.
My girlfriend gets car sick every time we drive farther than around town trips.
The ride is still on the firm side. It has softened up since I got it but it's still firmer than my gf's 3. May be a contributing factor in car sickness.
I'm reusing previously posted pictures because it's dark and I'm lazy.

Heh, I got some mats for Christmas as well. Weathertech mats just for the front seats for my 2013 Mazda3 hatchback.
Just in time too since the snow and salt has been heavy these past couple weeks.
